New Initiative of the Mountain Partnership and Forum

Sensitize people about the importance of climate change in mountain regions worldwide, and share relevant materials on the topic, is the purpose of the new micro site Climate change in mountains at UNFCCC COPs : http://climatechange.mtnforum.org/en

This website is an initiative of the Mountain Partnership and Forum, in collaboration with the Consortium for the Sustainable Development of the Andean Ecoregion (CONDESAN), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), FAO, Clim-ATIC and other members of the Mountain Partnership Consortium, including the University of Central Asia, one of the Pro Mountain Organizations .
This English and Spanish site, aims to be an information tool and a historical archive that tracks the Conferences of the Parties (COP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and those materials to be disseminated around the issue of climate change and that are of interest to mountain areas.

Thus, on Mountain Side Events you will meet institutions around the world concerned about the effects of climate change on these ecosystems. After the event, you can access presentations and other materials.
The Resources section shows ​​a compilation of key publications on climate change in mountainous regions. This resource center has been built thanks to CONDESAN and the Mountain Forum, with support from ICIMOD, the Mountain Partnership and UNEP.

In the News section you will find articles related to COP17 and COP16, and about climate change in mountains, produced by various media around the world.
